Homeschool field trips to Blandford Nature Center will immerse students in nature and are designed to help integrate Next  Generation Science Standards while engaging students’ natural sense of  inquiry.  Each 90 minute program is offered from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, taught by our highly experienced, trained and educated staff and is geared toward children 5 to 10 years of age. Students will be split into groups based on age so that program content is appropriate. All students will sign up via this link, then the group will be split into four, evenly sized, smaller groups based on age.

Monday September 17, 2018: Animal Adaptations

How do organisms survive in their environments? Students will learn that animal adaptations play a critical role in an animal's outcome in life. 

Monday October 15, 2018: Seeds & Plants

A focus on seed movement has students exploring fields and woods and uncovering secrets of plan and animal interdependence. 

Monday November 19, 2018: Anishinabek Lifeways

The cultural heritage of the Grand River comes alive through hands-on experiences with traditional tools. Investigate hoe the seasons and resources of Michigan influenced the Anishinabe people 400 years ago.

This series has 3 programs each lasting 90 minutes long for a special flat fee of only $25.00! The deadline to register for this  program package is September 10th.  In addition to the deadline, there is a minimum requirement of 40 participants, so be sure to tell other homeschool families about this great educational experience!

Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature of planning for our educators, there will be no refunds issued unless severe weather occurs and program cancellation is decided by Blandford Nature Center staff.
