When it rains, it pours - or in this case, calls for a possibility of hail and 50-60mph straight line winds throughout the show time. Oh Michigan, somehow we still love you!

For this evening's concert, we have decided to move the show indoors into the Auditorium of the Mary Jane Dockeray Visitor Center (1715 Hillburn Ave NW).
Bring your own camp chairs, blankets, food & snacks and let's make this the coolest indoor picnic & concert West Michigan has ever hosted!

Due to the concert being moved indoors, masks will be mandatory for all unvaccinated attendees as well as all children between the ages of 2-12 yrs old.
We understand this may not be ideal for some attendees, so please reach out to clousek@blandfordnaturecenter.org for refund options if you do not plan to attend.

Let the rain be an instrument from nature playing in the background of this evening's magical show! ♥

ABOUT THE BAND

A product of Kalamazoo, this diverse group was brought together by a mutual love of art. Their live arrangements are reminiscent of The Internet, The Roots and Hiatus Kaiyote where melodic cello or saxophone lines, jazz guitar voicings, and gospel piano set a beautiful soundscape underneath soulful voices and poetic lyricism. As LGC continues to debunk stereotypes one melody at a time, their music never ceases to touch the hearts of people from all walks of life.

ABOUT THE POET

G Foster II, a.k.a AutoPilot, graduated from Muskegon High School in the year 2000 and received the Wade H. McCree academic scholarship. Attending GVSU, he earned a B.A. in Communications in 2008 and has since used his degree to launch multiple Language Art projects and collective artists groups. He is currently engaged in many personal entrepreneurial pursuits. In 2015, G Foster II and his business partner co-founded River Dolphin Productions. He is also the founder and host of The Original Back to the 90’s Parties. He also founded Auto’s Tee’s and Fits clothing company focused on promoting Grand Rapids and Michigan through creative word-play and design.  G Foster II is the host of a local open mic founded in 2013, based out of Grand Rapids and now has expanded to Detroit, MI.  Aside from entrepreneurial pursuits, G Foster II is a dedicated artist of spoken word poetry, musician, M.C. in hip hop group Gray Theory, and community activist.  Even though he has no kids of his own, it doesn’t stop him from helping the youth and being the change that he wishes to see in the world.
