We’re partnering with Wormies Vermicompost to offer a composting service! Turn your food scraps into worm manure to feed the soil.  Receive 2 bags of compost to nourish your houseplants, yard or garden over the course of the season.  Don’t have a garden or houseplants? You can opt to donate your bags of compost to community gardens such as the Other Way Community Garden, Freedom School, Cook Library Center Community Garden, Dwelling Place Community Garden, and Our Kitchen Table.

How it Works:

• You’ll receive a 5 gallon collection bucket and lid, and a list of compostable and non-compostable items.

• Each week, you’ll bring your full bucket back to the Blandford Farm and empty your food scraps into the Wormies collection bins.

• Throughout the 20 weeks, you’ll receive 2 complimentary 1 liter bags of premium vermicompost.  Each bag is valued at $12.

Pricing & Additional Information:

• Composting Service: $84 (Pricing is the same regardless of membership status. This must be paid for in full at the time of registration.)

• This add-on includes 20 weeks of service from June 6th-October 17th.

• The ONLY drop-off time available for this service at Blandford is Tuesdays at the Farm (3145 Milo St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534) from 4:00-6:30pm.

  • ​However, as a wormies member, you are now also able to use any of their self-drop-off sites throughout the city.

• If you are not a CSA member, you are still welcome to participate in this service!
