DESCRIPTION:Calling all future growers! Head into the Children’s Garden and lend a hand with watering, weeding, harvesting, and investigating pests and beneficial insects. You may also help with seeding or transplanting, depending on the season. All helpers take home a share of the harvest! \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Notes: No need to plan ahead; just drop-in to participate. Check-in starts at the Blandford Farm 30 minutes before the listed start time. Look for the “Farm Programs” signs in the farmyard space between the large red animal barn and the barn playscape. The first 10 people to check-in are guaranteed spots; more spots may be available on a first come first serve basis. \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Member Caregiver or Child: $5 \n  \n  \n Non-Member Caregiver or Child: $8 \n  \n  \n 2 and Under: Free (registration still required) \n  \n  \n   \n  \n Each registered child is required to have a registered adult accompany them for this program. \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Please note there are NO BATHROOMS AT THE FARM from September to March and only port-a-potties available from April to August. The nearest full-service bathrooms are at the Blandford Visitor Center, a 10-15 minute walk or 2 minute drive away. \n  \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n  \n Please Note: This program will take place entirely outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled, and participants will be notified of their refund options.  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n COVID-19 Information: Starting March 14, 2022, Blandford Nature Center will no longer require masks indoors or outdoors for staff, general visitors, or program participants. We continue to monitor local COVID rates and may reinstate masking requirements for staff, general visitors, and program participants of all ages, regardless of vaccination status, when community health concerns rise.
