DESCRIPTION:Celebrating Birds and the Wonders of Our Natural World \n  \n A fundraising event hosted by Blandford Nature Center in collaboration with Querkus Creative \n  \n  \n Join us on May 14th (National Bird Migration Day) as we celebrate all things birds! Participants will have the opportunity to go on a guided birding hike or an accessible birding tour with Blandford&#39;s educators, and an accessible conservation tour with The Land Conservancy of West Michigan. \n  \n  \n Participants can meet and learn about a few of Blandford&#39;s wildlife ambassador birds at a Wildlife Show, then hit the trails with binoculars rented out by Thrive Outside. This event also includes the opportunity for shopping; with books from Books &amp; Mortar, native plants from Blandford&#39;s Land Stewardship team, and art from Querkus Creative. Attendees can finish off the birding bonanza by grabbing a bite to eat from Land Whale Deli food truck. \n  \n  \n Grand Rapids Audubon, Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, Latino Outdoors, Thrive Outside, and The Land Conservancy of West Michigan will all be attending this event with additional resources and information about their organizations. \n  \n  \n  \n Event Schedule \n  \n Native Plant Sale: 12pm-4pm or while supplies last \n  \n Wildlife Shows*: 12:30pm &amp; 3:30pm, limited capacity \n  \n Birding Hikes: 1:30pm &amp; 2:30pm \n  \n Birding Tours along Accessible Trail**: 1:30pm &amp; 2:30pm \n  \n Land Conservancy led Conservation Tours**: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n Non-Members: $3 \n  \n Members and Children 2 &amp; Under: Free (registration still required) \n  \n  \n This program is recommended for all ages, including adults and families with children. \n  \n  \n *wildlife shows will take place in the Mary Jane Dockeray Visitor Center Auditorium  \n  \n   \n  \n **tours will go out to the Highlands following our paved pathway suitable for those with mobility challenges (0.9 miles).
