DESCRIPTION:Join our Land Stewardship Manager for a guided hike at The Highlands to learn about the process of converting a golf course into a thriving complex of wetlands and prairie. Bring nature questions, walking shoes, and be sure to dress for the weather! \n  \n  \n Due to ongoing construction on the new parking lot at The Highlands, this program will start in the parking lot of Blandford Nature Center at 1715 Hillburn Ave NW. We will then walk to The Highlands via the accessible trail.  Please arrive on time, as a late arrival may mean you will miss the group before they walk to the Highlands.  \n  \n  \n Cost: \n  \n Non-Member: $10 \n  \n Member (20% discount): $8 \n  \n  \n Note: This program is for adults. Pre-registration is required due to limited capacity. Online registration closes at noon on the day of the program. If the program sells out, you may complete your online registration to be added to the waitlist. We will contact you if spots become available. This program will take place outdoors, even in light rain, so please dress for the weather. In the event of severe weather, the program will be cancelled and your will be notified by email of your refund/rescheduling options.  \n  \n  \n Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests received at least 7 days before the scheduled program are eligible for a 50% refund of the total registration cost, not including the credit card processing fee. Due to administration costs, full refunds are not available. Cancellation requests received within 7 days of a program are not eligible for a refund. In the event that Blandford must cancel the program, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a refund. All community programs will have a registrant minimum. If the minimum is not met, you will be contacted by Blandford Nature Center and notified of your refund options. \n
