Food, water, shelter, and safety are survival needs of every animal. Hone your own survival skills and be prepared for the unexpected in the outdoors with the guidance of Master Naturalist, Kristin Tindall. Families will be coached on building their own shelter and starting a fire without a match. Can we boil water and be protected from "rain" before time runs out?

Adult/Child Member: $10

2 and Under: Free (registration still required)

This program is recommended for families with children ages 6+

An adult chaperone is required to register and attend at this program. All those wishing to join the program must be pre-registered!

Please Note: This program will take place outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled, and participants will be notified of their refund options. All participants are required to wear masks for the duration of the program and will be expected to stay socially distanced as much as possible.

Covid-19 Information: In accordance with current CDC guidelines and State of Michigan COVID regulations, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings and for the duration of all programs both inside and outside, regardless of vaccination status. If you or someone you are registering for a program cannot medically tolerate a mask, you must contact our Program Manager prior to booking a program.
