Bring your toddlers and preschoolers out to discover the wonders of nature at Blandford Nature Center! Each Nature Buds program will feature a story, outdoor discovery and a hands-on activity. This program will run rain, snow or shine, so dress for the weather! Please note that this program is designed for children ages 1-5 and their caregivers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Older children are welcome but should be prepared for the slower pace of this program. Registration is required for all participants, including children under 12 months.
This Nature Buds program will feature stories focusing on the Native Peoples of West Michigan with exploration of our Wigwam in celebration of Indigenous Peoples' Week.
Caregivers and Child Members: $5
Caregivers and Child Non-Members: $8
Infants Under 12 months: Free (Registration still required)
This program is recommended for caregivers and their toddlers aged 1-5.
An adult chaperone is required to register and attend at this program.
Please Note: This program will take place mainly outdoors. Crafts may be done indoors depending on weather conditions including rain or wind. All participants ages 2 and up are required to wear masks for the duration of the program and will be expected to stay socially distanced as much as possible.
Covid-19 Information:
As of AUGUST 23, 2021, in accordance with current CDC recommendations, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings regardless of vaccination status. Masks will also be required to be worn by all guests participating in a mixed age community program, where attendees are from multiple households, both inside and outside. If you or someone you are registering for a program cannot medically tolerate a mask, you must contact our Program Manager prior to booking a program.
