You and your sweetie (or a buddy!) are invited to join our experienced blacksmith for a special couples-only Valentine-themed afternoon in the forge! You will learn basic forge safety and metalsmithing skills to create your own heart-shaped item from start to finish. No experience is required. This program is for ages 18+. Blandford Nature Center will provide safety equipment including gloves, ear and eye protection.

This program is for ages 18 and up only. Each registration requires 2 participants.

Please Note: This program will be held indoors. All participants will be required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

COVID-19 Information: As of August 23, 2021, in accordance with guidance from the CDC and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are also required indoors and outdoors for all guests participating in a mixed-age community program where attendees are from multiple households and social distancing cannot be maintained. If you or someone you are registering for a program cannot medically tolerate a mask, you must contact our Program Manager prior to booking a program to discuss your options.
