Join Emilie Eklund, of LIEFdesign, for a morning of engaging with nature through hand lettering and illustration. In this workshop, we will use nature to ground and inspire us in our process of learning hand lettering and illustration. Using the beauty of Blandford, various writing prompts, and teaching sessions on hand lettering and illustration, we will use this art form to connect with nature and ourselves. Supplies for hand lettering and illustration, along with a lovely journal, will be yours to keep for continued practice at home after the workshop. Portions of this program will take place outdoors, so please come prepared to take a walk on the trails.

This program is for adults and teens, ages 13 and up. Teens must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Please Note: This program will be held mostly indoors, with some portions outdoors. All participants will be required to wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status.

COVID-19 Information: As of August 23, 2021, in accordance with guidance from the CDC and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are also required indoors and outdoors for all guests participating in a mixed-age community program where attendees are from multiple households and social distancing cannot be maintained.
