Join us in the forge to learn how fire, metal and a hammer come together to create a functional item or a work of art! Our experienced blacksmith will teach you a few tricks of the trade in this special WOMEN ONLY edition of our popular introductory blacksmith class. Topics covered will include forge safety, tools, and fire building, and you will have an opportunity to work on a first project. No experience necessary! This program is for ages 18 and up. Blandford Nature Center will provide safety equipment, including gloves and ear and eye protection.

Please Note: This program will be held indoors. All participants will be required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

Covid-19 Information: As of August 23, 2021, in accordance with CDC recommendations, Blandford Nature Center requires all staff, visitors, and program participants ages 2 and up to wear masks while inside all buildings regardless of vaccination status. Masks are also required indoors and outdoors for all guests participating in a mixed-age community program where attendees are from multiple households. If you or someone you are registering for a program cannot medically tolerate a mask, you must contact our Program Manager prior to booking a program.
