Fall is the best time to get going on compost! As nature begins to offer its leaves, Wormies, a Grand Rapids composting business, will be teaching this hands-on workshop that utilizes worms to create a healthy living compost as well as the best methods for using your finished worm compost.
Attendees can opt to purchase worms and bins or bring your own. Wormies staff will be sharing experience and knowledge of getting the healthiest compost for your plants using what you have around you!
Program is for adults and kids ages 10 and up with adult supervision.
This program is offered free of charge due to generous grant funding.
If you would like to purchase one of the following, optional take-home items, please do so when you register, and you'll be able to pick up your item during the program. A purchase is not necessary for program attendance.

Your program will be taking place at Blandford Farm, located at 3145 Milo Street NW, Grand Rapids MI 49504.
Please note there are NO BATHROOMS AT THE FARM from November to March and only port-a-potties available from April to October. The nearest full-service bathrooms are at the Blandford Visitor Center, a 10-15 minute walk or 2 minute drive away.
Please Note: This program will take place entirely outdoors. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled, and participants will be notified of their refund options.
COVID-19 Information: As of January 1, 2023, face coverings are not required while participating in programs indoors or outdoors at Blandford. Blandford continues to monitor local COVID rates and reserves the right to reinstate masking requirements for staff, general visitors, and program participants of all ages, regardless of vaccination status, if community health concerns arise. Blandford will notify program participants if this policy changes before a scheduled program takes place. Participants should not attend a program if they show any signs of infectious illness, including cough, fever, headache, runny nose, vomiting or diarrhea.
