Experience the wonders of Michigan’s state tree with Lea Sevigny of Joyful Wildcrafting. Together we’ll take a deep dive into the virtues of White Pine, sampling vinegar, tinctures, oil, salve, cookies, beverages and more. Participants will work with this plant on site, gaining the confidence to recreate its gifts on your own. This wildcrafting workshop will have both an outdoor and an indoor component, come prepared for the weather. No experience is necessary. Bring a mug for tea.

This program is for adults ages 18 and older.

About the instructor: Lea Sevigny connects with nature in many ways, but she especially enjoys foraging for items to make food, herbal remedies, and artistic creations. Through her business, Joyful Wildcrafting, Lea guides others to embrace the natural world as well. Learners of all styles and ages are in good hands with Lea, a retired middle school teacher, who values building community and helping her students find success.
